The text of this volume continues from f136 without a break through Nos 336, 337 and 338. Presumably they once formed a single volume. F137 is a later addition, giving the end of the story in progress which is repeated at the beginning of volume II. The beginnings of the other volumes are treated similarly. A large collection of stories, many fabulous. Not the Jawāmiʻ al-ḥikāyāt of ʻAwfī; not the same as the work with this title, Ethe No 797, although some stories are common to both. Ruled margins.
