Summary of Contents: كتاب كلام الملوك Kalámu'l-Mulúk, a brief account of the Qájár dynasty down to the death of
Fath-'Ali Shah on the 19th of Jumáda 11, 1250/Oct. 23, 1834, of doubtful authorship.
copied for Mr Lyne' See my Year amongst the Persians, p. 184., at that time in charge of the Indo-European telegraph-office at Qum, in Ramadan, 1290/October, 1873, by Ali Akbar, formerly custodian of the
Holy Shrine of Qum. This was one of three small MSS. from the library of the
late Mr Lyne bought for 135. from Messrs Luzac and Co. in February, 1907.
Begins, after the title and the Bismillah: كه لك الحمد يا ذا الجود والمجد والعلى تباركت تعطى من تشاء و تمنع تحسین و درود مر
نخستین صدور ورود عرصه شهود احمد محمود (1) تفصیل این اجمال آنکه ایل جلیل
قاجار از اروغ میمون آق قویونلوی ترکمانیه و آن قبیله نبیله از اولاد ترك بن يافث بن نوح.
بیافث اغلان مذکور و بکثرت اولاد و احفاد مشهور بود قبایل و عشایر (14) نتيجه يك نسل و فرع
يك اصل از او منشعب گشته پس از تسخیر ممالك شرق و شمال در ترکستان و چین و ثقلاب
صقلاب sic for و ختای و ختن جای گیر شدند و طائفه از آن ملقب به آق قویونلو و قرا قویونلو
اکثری از بلاد روم و شامات و دیار بكر بحيطه تملك و تصرف در آورده بعزیمت ایران مصمم در اندك
زمان ایران را مسخر و آنرا بسه قسمت کردند که متون تواریخ و بطون اخبار از آثار و کردار
سلاطین با (4) اقتدار از دو طائفه حاکی و حاویست جمعی در تبریز و ایروان و گنجه ساکن
و رایت سلطنت در ممالک آذربایجان و کرج و عراق و فارس ،افراختند آبای کرام و اجداد با
عدل و داد ما در استراباد و گرگان بعد از استیلای بر ترکمان و دشت قفچاق تمکن و بهره در مرو
شاهیجان توطن یافته بر اکثر بلاد خراسان حکمران و فرمان روا شدند شاهقلیخان پدر پنجم
ما كه سرخیل آن انجم بود پس از انقضای مدت حکمرانی از این (15) جهان فانی در
گذشت
زمام اختیار آن حدود بفرزند ارشد فتحعلی خان باز گذاشت From the expression "our noble forefathers and first and righteous ancestors"
in the above citation, it may be inferred that the author of this little book himself
belonged to the Qajár tribe. Ff. 38 of 20'8 x 15 c. and 9 ll., written in a very large naskh, with occasional
headings in blue to indicate the occurrence of verses in the text.
