١٢٦٩ This MS., from the Schindler library, constitutes a directory of the Persian
capital for the year indicated (A.D. 1853), the character, size and ownership of each
house, small and great, being specified. It is evidently the original MS., and would
be of great value to anyone concerned with the topography, size and social life of
Tihrán at that period. Unfortunately for the non-Persian reader many of the
particulars given are written in the hand called raqam or siyáq commonly used in
Persia for keeping accounts.
Ff. 188 of 21'5 × 15 c. and from 10 to 15 entries in four or five columns on each
page. The writing, a small, neat nim-shikasta, is good of its kind. There is no
colophon.
