Summary of Contents: One copy of شیخ‌زاده احمد مصری Şeyḫzāde Aḥmed Mıṣrī's حکایات قرق وزیر Ḥikāyāt-i Ḳırḳ Vezīr, an Ottoman Turkish translation of the anonymous Arabic stories known as اربعین صباح ومساء Arba‘īn Ṣabāḥ wa-Masā', which are themselves an expanded reworking of the سندبادنامه Sindbādnāmah.

Hand(s)

Script: Nesḫ in black ink. Scribes unknown, but two distinct hands are evident: one on folios 34-43 and 192-197 and the other on the remaining folios.

History

Origin: Place and date of origin unknown, but possibly copied during the reign of Meḥmed II, i.e. 1432-1481 CE.

Provenance and Acquisition

Acquired sometime between 1695 and 1822.
