Summary of Contents: One copy of شیخزاده احمد مصری Şeyḫzāde Aḥmed Mıṣrī's حکایات قرق وزیر Ḥikāyāt-i Ḳırḳ Vezīr, an Ottoman Turkish translation of the anonymous Arabic stories known as اربعین صباح ومساء Arba‘īn Ṣabāḥ wa-Masā', which are themselves an expanded reworking of the سندبادنامه Sindbādnāmah.Language(s): Ottoman Turkish

Or. 31.Apparently a second version of شیخزاده احمد مصری Şeyḫzāde Aḥmed Mıṣrī's translation, dedicated on folios 2a-b to سلطان محمد بن مراد خان بن محمد بن بایزید Ṣulṭān Meḥmed bin Murād Ḫān bin Meḥmed bin Bāyezīd (i.e. Mehmed II, Sultan of the Turks, 1432-1481). The most popular version is the original, which was dedicated to the previous Sultan, Murad II, Sultan of the Turks, 1404-1451, and copied and circulated widely during his reign.

Script: Nesḫ in black ink. Scribes unknown, but two distinct hands are evident: one on folios 34-43 and 192-197 and the other on the remaining folios.

Acquired sometime between 1695 and 1822.
