Summary of Contents: One copy of شیخزاده احمد مصری Şeyḫzāde Aḥmed Mıṣrī's حکایات قرق وزیر Ḥikāyāt-i Ḳırḳ Vezīr, an Ottoman Turkish translation of the anonymous Arabic stories known as اربعین صباح ومساء Arba‘īn Ṣabāḥ wa-Masā', which are themselves an expanded reworking of the سندبادنامه Sindbādnāmah.Language(s): Ottoman Turkish

Bodl. Or. 477.Apparently a second version of شیخزاده احمد مصری Şeyḫzāde Aḥmed Mıṣrī's translation. A similar text in another manuscript (see MS. Bodl. Or. 477, folios 2a-b) bears a dedication to سلطان محمد بن مراد خان بن محمد بن بایزید Ṣulṭān Meḥmed bin Murād Ḫān bin Meḥmed bin Bāyezīd (i.e. Mehmed II, Sultan of the Turks, 1432-1481); whereas the most popular version is the original, which was dedicated to the previous Sultan, Murad II, Sultan of the Turks, 1404-1451, and copied and circulated widely during his reign.
